Select Your Fabrics
Choosing the right fabrics is one of the most exciting parts of quilting! Nicole is working with 6 fat quarters, each a unique pattern in the Ghostly Garden collection. You can order these same fat quarters in Auntie's shop. This collection from Andover Fabrics offers a diverse range of patterns and colors, perfect for making your 9-patch quilt block pop.
Cut Your Squares
Once you have your fabrics pressed, cut them into squares. In this tutorial, Nicole cuts 4.5" squares. For a standard 9-patch, you'll need a total of 9 squares for each block.
You’ll arrange three rows of three squares, making sure to mix and match your fabric selections creatively. In her video, Nicole explains how to place directional fabrics in the block.
